Variety recently revealed that Nintendo Switch has sold 10 million units. In the interview, the news outlet talked to Nintendo of America President and COO, Reggie Fils-Aime, about software sales on the Switch. He revealed that three games have been sold to 50 percent of all Switch users.
The lineup of Nintendo-published games also has fueled fueling Switch sales, Fils-Aime said. Three titles have been purchased by more than 50% of Switch owners: “The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild” — which won game of the year at the 2017 Game Awards — “Mario Kart 8 Deluxe,” and “Super Mario Odyssey.” Another title, third-person shooter “Splatoon 2,” has been purchased by one in four Switch owners, he said.”
Super Mario Odyssey is already one of the highest selling titles on Switch, despite that it released in late October.
