Capcom held a Twitch livestream today to celebrate Mega Man turning 30. Along with some developer interviews and an awesome Mega Ran song, Capcom also dropped some news. First, Mega Man 11 was revealed and looks awesome. Second, Capcom confirmed that the Mega Man Legacy Collection 1 and 2 would be coming to the Nintendo Switch in 2018. The final announcement made was that every game in the Mega Man X Series will be released on the Nintendo Switch in 2018.
To date, there have been two Mega Man Legacy Collections. Collection 1 covered Mega Man 1 through Mega Man 6 while Collection 2 covered Mega Man 7, Mega Man 8, Mega Man 9, and Mega Man 10. Capcom confirmed that all Mega Man X games would be coming to the Nintendo Switch, however there was no mention of including the side games like Mega Man Xtreme, Mega Man Xtreme 2 or Mega Man Xtreme Command Mission. Capcom has also not confirmed if this will be similar to the Legacy Collections with all games included or if the games will be released one by one as stand alone purchases. With the success of the NeoGEO series of games on Switch, it could go either way.
No release date was given but it was heavily implied that the game or games would launch in 2018.
