The SNES Classic will be launching in just a few days. The miniaturized replica of the famous Super Nintendo is pretty cool, but one of its few drawbacks is that it comes with wired controllers that have short cords. Thankfully, there is a bright side. Nyko, a well-known game accessory manufacturer, will be releasing a wireless SNES-styled controller alongside the system.
Called the ‘SNES Miniboss’, this wireless controller has the same button layout as a normal SNES pad, but it comes with a wireless receiver which is plugged into the controller port on the system. This of course will allow you to play your redesigned retro titles without being tethered to the mini system. On top of that, the SNES Miniboss also sports a ‘Turbo ‘button for you rapid-fire button mashers out there.
Having a wireless controller for the SNES Classic is definitely going to be convenient for those of you who intend to play the system on a TV while you sit on the couch. If you plan to just stick the mini system into your computer monitor, then a wireless controller option may not even be necessary.
