NBA 2K18 is one of two releases from 2K in their yearly sports lineup for the Nintendo Switch, with WWE 2K18 being the other. Since announced during the initial presentation of the Nintendo Switch, details have been very quiet of the Switch version of NBA 2K18. That’s quickly changing now however as the game is available on the show floor at PAX West, and initial reports are very promising.
NBA 2K18 will feature all of the same game modes, animation, and A.I. as the PS4 version of the game, which honestly, is pretty insane. Virtual Concepts allegedly pushed the Switch to it’s limits and is glad they did. The only thing missing from the Switch version of the game is the ability to create a custom logo for Pro-Am teams. It is worth noting that the Switch version features amiibo support, but the capacity it’s used in remains unknown.
All of this is very good news, but it does appear that the game will run at 30FPS docked/portable, which is a contrast to the 60FPS of the PS4 version. We will keep you updated with more info on NBA 2K18 as it comes out of the PAX West show floor!
