If you have been following the NES Classic situation as of late, it’s been quite a headache of nonsense. ThinkGeek (who is owned by GameStop) randomly started selling bundles of the NES Classic, months after the system had been discontinued. After that, Amazon Trucks in select US Cities had NES Classic consoles available for sale.
Today, another chapter in the NES Classic saga has emerged. GameStop sent out an email to some Power Up members that they would be giving away 100 NES Classics in the month of August:
