Nintendo of Korea is undergoing a massive restructuring that has left 50 people without a job. Surprisingly, this is actually 80% of the employees with the company, as only 10 remain in this small division of Nintendo. After suffering losses for the past 4 years, this doesn’t come as a large shock.
The HQ will be relocated to outside of Seoul and the current CEO, Fukuda Hiroyuki, will remain at the helm. Hopefully Nintendo’s entry into the mobile market can help revitalize Nintendo of Korea as that is a heavy place for mobile usage.
We at NintendoEnthusiast wish the members who received a layoff find work quickly as well.
