In the latest issue of Edge, several high profile Nintendo developers were interviewed, amongst them Tetsuya Takahashi. Takahashi revealed a very interesting new tidbit concerning the scope and size of Xenoblade Chronicles X. Instead of just increasing the size of the Xenoblade map two or three times, Takahashi revealed that Xenoblade Chronicles X would be more than five times bigger than its predecessor.
“Vehicles are called Dolls. They are 5 Times larger than a person. So to get the same feel as Xenoblade Chronicles, the map would need to be 5 times bigger. The game world in X is in fact even bigger than that.”
This is quite the exciting news for those anticipating the new RPG release out of Monolith Software.
Originally announced in January of last year and scheduled to be released before the end of 2014, Xenoblade Chronicles X was delayed to an early 2015 release. Due to the critical success of its predecessor, Xenoblade Chronicles X is one of the most highly anticipated games coming to the Wii U platform.
