According to the latest issue of Famitsu, Etrian Odyssey II Untold: The Knight of Fafnir is launching in Japan on November 27th. The game will be exclusive to the Nintendo 3DS platform and is a remake of the 2008 DS title Etrian Odyssey II: Heroes of Lagaard. Pricing in Japan is set at 5,980 Yen, which is comes to about $58.
In addition to the base game, those who pick up the limited first run of the title will also receive a soundtrack CD included in the package, which makes the release version of the game somewhat of a special edition.
For those who do not know, in addition to the mainline Etrian Odyssey games, Atlus publishes Etrian Odyssey Untold games, titles which are remakes of past entries in the franchise. Atlus has caught itself in the midst of some controversy, however, as many do not believe that remaking a six year-old game is justified, even if it does have added features.
