Now, in 2014? No, I don’t think so. However, a few years from now VR could get really really big in which case I’d say absolutely.

why not? but they have to make it affordable and market it well…

A Metroid game in VR hmmm . But I think this technology is too young/costly for Nintendo for now. I don’t think we’ll see it happen soon with Ninty, which I don’t mind at all. And this technology still has to prove itself worthy although I know lately it’s getting close from what we can hear in the media.

Yes totally. However it doesn’t have to be or replace a handheld or console. It could be a completely seperate format much like the original DS was introduced as.

Nintendo have previously said how they are in the entertainment industry by providing people with new, unique and suprising experiences and this would further that. It would also be “for everyone” which the 3D on the 3DS is clearly not. The Wii U isn’t even “for everyone”, however the original Wii and DS were, completely simple and unique. No barriers.

I remember back than when I used to read a lot of Gamepro magazines (which I still have a few laying around) everyone was trying their hand in VR…like Sega..Atari with its Jaguar VR and others which never happened…now fast forward to 2014 and we have the Oculus and the PS4 VR headset causing hype all over again…

So yes!…if not now when?…now is the time for Nintendo to try their hand at it too…they did AR on the 3DS which is in the same vein..and if you played Bravely Default…where you’re moving the 3DS all over the place when watching the movies than you can get a feel of things that can be done..

But…this is Nintendo…and if everyone else is doing it..they don’t want in..they always want their own thing =_=
