Hidden deep within Square-Enix’s TGS 2012 plans is a rather tantalising nugget of information…

Square-Enix will for the first time reveal the Wii U version of Dragon Quest X. Not much is known about the project, except a random tweet about a year ago saying that the Wii U version was “looking stunning”.

Dragon Quest X is the first main entry in the series to require users to play online. The Wii game was reviewed by Famitsu recently and scored a respectable 36/40. So far the game has yet to sell anywhere near the pace of its predecessor’s and has yet to reach one million sold after nearly a month on sale.

It’s also worth noting a western release has yet to be announced for either version. Its very likely Nintendo will publish the Wii U version in North America and Europe however.
