Nintendo has pushed it’s marketing campaign forward, but could retailers cause a snag?

Nintendo is incorporating both real-world and online stores in its big eShop push. Online rll also be given the ability to sell download codes for eShop purchases. This gives players three choices, purchase directly from the eShop, obtain a download code from a retailer or buy a eShop points card and use that online.

In theory retail versions should be priced the same as the download versions, but some Japanese retailers have already started pricing retail versions less, or offering other bonuses! Joshin Web for example list the same RRP foree times more reward points for the retail version! I wonder how long Nintendo will allow this to continue?

New Super Mario Bros 2 and Onitore kick off Nintendo’s push this weekend on July 28th!
