SEGA today revealed their latest financial results, including some very positive news for both the Wii U and 3DS.

The amazingly-fun Sonic and Sega All-stars Racing Transformed managed to pull in 1.36 million copies in North America, with the Wii U accounting for 310,000 – roughly 23% which is fantastic considering the game launched on PS3, 360, PSV, 3DS and PC as well!

It has also been revealed that SEGA are planning on releasing a further seven Wii U games this coming year, all of which are currently unannounced! It is likely that one of these is the rumoured Sonic platformer scheduled to launch at the end of the year. It\’s encouraging to see a third-party invest this much support in the Wii U, and quite understandable as SEGA has seem to found their market on the Wii U.
