Some gamers out there may have been rather surprised that Nintendo didn\’t offer Wii U functionality via the 3DS from day one. A recent rumour suggests they may be working on a peripheral to offer this…

The rumour suggests that Nintendo are working on a cartridge, containing the GamePad\’s streaming technology to allow players to use their 3DS as a Wii U GamePad. It doesn\’t sound too outlandish as Nintendo has worked on similar console-portable peripherals in the past and Sony offer this functionality with the PS3 and Vita (not that many games make use of this).
