While I love the Metroid series, I'd hope that whoever is involved takes their sweet time and waits until 2016 to Release the game. I want to see sequels to some other N Franchises first like F-Zero and maybe even Earthbound 4...

Woooooooooo Menashe!!! Ok the video got me pumped for all things Metroid, your speaking and the way you delivered the message has got me more than curious. And Ill take Super Metroid2, or a new Metroid Prime. I mean hey, if your gonna choose Metroid to go some where might as well choose from 2 of the best Metroid games. Excellent job

There are many directions that I believe Nintendo plans to go with the Metroid series, but my biggest guess is that they are currently creating a beautiful looking evolved Metroid FPS that still holds fast to the series. I suspect that they will be getting aid from western developers (Likely Retro) to help with such a colossal project. In other words, I believe Metroid is going to be an AAA title to be released some time in 2015/16.

Man, this makes me want to play Super so darn bad. Great stuff. It makes me wonder if Sakamoto and Retro would ever really team up (he was only ever a side-adviser for the Primes).
