The Wii U is in trouble and needs more than just third-party support and first party blockbusters to survive–its about the hardware. Nintendo decided it was time for yet another Wii U system update and this time it was for firmware version 2.1.3 U, which is said to bring more overall stability to the fledgling system.
A bigger update is expected in April which will make it possible to add on the new Wii U virtual console and introduction of NES and SNES games to be playable on the GamePad.
