Rumour: Bungie’s Destiny Not Announced for Wii U, But Is Bungie Dropping a Few Hints?

IGN today revealed Bungie’s next decade-spanning epic, a project called Destiny which has been confirmed for PS3, Xbox 360 and the next systems from both Sony and Microsoft…[UPDATED FOR A FOURTH TIME!]

On the possibility of a PC version, Parsons said: “We would absolutely love to be on the PC. If you talk to the people upstairs, we play it on all platforms. So, stay tuned.” No mention was made of a Wii U version. Eurogamer

There has been no mention of a Wii U version which is disappointing, but considering the strong support Activision has shown the Wii U so far, if more of you go out and buy Black Ops 2, it may convince them. We’ve reached out to retailers for any rumblings they may have heard.

Later on,  at 3:37 mins, you can also see a Chain Chomp toy underneath a screen. Of course, this is hardly a confirmation but could these be very subtle hints from Bungie? Check it out below and let us know what you think.

GoNintendo use cdreams shared the following image with me. It’s taken directly from the reveal video, and appears to reveal a white Wii U console on the desk of a Bungie employee. Not concrete evidence they’re indeed working on Wii U, but more fuel for the fire…

it would be cool if it comes for the wiiU, but personally i dont have any interest in this game, for me looks a lot like halo and its a online only game, i don't like that i much preffer single payer experiences.

Actually the source code was debunked in a NeoGAF thread. Apparently the source code is default for all Activision published games. You can see it for youself if you check for example the source code of CoD: Black Ops 2 web pages. But the other hints are very valid of course.

I think both of those are good hints-especially the 'my body is ready'. But another one, i think, is that symbol. Does it not look like a 'U'? I will probably buy this game if it comes to Wii U.

I think it's coming as well. People outside of the Nintendo community don't use "My body is ready"

I'm not part of Nintendo community (x360/ps vita kinda guy here, had 3ds for 3 months, sold it...) and yet I use that phrase pretty regularly... It's common slang really..

I'll take this as nothing more than what our eyes see: hints by Bungie. Meaning, they're definitely teasing us, but we won't know if it actually means anything until an actual announcement takes place. It would be great if E3 came around and brought a nice Destiny Wii U reveal along with it.

100% coming to the Wii U. That "my body is ready" text was completely blatant. That's just not a reference people drop outside of conversations about Nintendo.

Would be great if it came to the Wii U. Would definitely mean Nintendo is serious about getting 3rd party games to their consoles.

I would be pretty shocked if it came to Wii U. Even though I will purchase the game on PS4 I would actually buy a Wii U version as well to show support/play with this community.
