Oh Treyarch, how you play with our minds…

We’ve known for a couple weeks now that a new update was coming to the Wii U version of Black Ops II. Yesterday the update went live but has caused several issues which Treyarch are now looking into. It wasn’t just bad news however…

  • Wii U Leaderboards now include the “Diner Turned”  mode from the DLC
  • There have been reports of players on this mode, despite it only being available for Xbox 360
  • Theres also a new calling card for the “Peacekeeper SMG” which is again DLC only

However, not happy with leaving us hopeful, a Treyarch community manager issued the following statement…

“Holy things that shouldn’t have happened, Batman! This is indeed a bug, and sadly something that will likely be going away this evening. This is by no means a confirmation of DLC. Just something that got brought over when we brought over the rest of the fixes from the other platforms. Leave it to our community to find it in the first two minutes.”

Sounds like your average “nothing to see here” comment, but the fact players have been seen on the Wii U version of a DLC only mode leaves me hopeful!
